Welcome to Design for LA. This is a free and public directory of architects, designers, landscape architects, contractors, engineers and other experts related to the building process, particularly in Southern California. The directory, which will evolve and grow, will be posted soon!

It is not intended to be a marketplace or matchmaking service but a free resource and directory for people to find collaborators to rebuild, repair, or replace their home or business. Designers can submit their info via the Join page.

As our volunteer team grows we hope to add information on:

  • ADU design and construction

  • Community learning sessions

  • Information on navigating the building process

  • Links to other resources

Please note: all scope and fees are negotiated between the homeowner/business owner and the architect/landscape architect/contractor. This volunteer team is vetting as much as possible but please do your due diligence and talk to as many entities as your can. If someone on this list is price gouging please let us know.
